Terms and Conditions

Last updated: August 12, 2026

These Terms and Conditions govern your use of the Aussie Book Publishing website and services. By accessing our site or engaging our team, you agree to these terms.

1. About Our Services

Aussie Book Publishing provides writing, editing, design, publishing support, marketing guidance, audiobook production, author websites, and related creative services. Service scope, timelines, and fees are confirmed in a project proposal, quote, or written agreement before work begins.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter a binding agreement to use our services. If you are acting on behalf of a company or organization, you confirm you have authority to bind that entity.

3. Accounts, Quotes, and Orders

Information you provide for quotes or projects must be accurate and complete. A project starts only after mutual written confirmation of scope and payment terms. We may decline or pause work if required materials, approvals, or payments are not received on time.

4. Client Responsibilities

You agree to supply briefs, source material, feedback, and approvals within agreed timelines. Delays in client input may extend delivery schedules. You also confirm that materials you provide do not infringe another party’s rights and are lawful to use.

5. Intellectual Property and Ownership

Unless a written agreement says otherwise, you retain ownership of your original manuscript and finished work delivered under your project once agreed fees are paid in full. Aussie Book Publishing retains ownership of our pre-existing tools, templates, processes, and internal methods. Until final payment clears, we reserve rights in unpaid deliverables.

6. Ghostwriting and Confidentiality

Ghostwriting and related creative work may be performed confidentially as outlined in your project agreement. We treat your unpublished materials as confidential and expect you to treat our pricing, proposals, and internal processes as confidential as well.

7. Payments, Revisions, and Refunds

Fees, deposits, milestones, and revision rounds are defined in your quote or agreement. Additional work outside the agreed scope may require a revised fee. Refund eligibility, if any, depends on the specific package terms and the stage of work completed. Services already delivered or time already invested may be non-refundable.

8. Publishing and Third-Party Platforms

Where we assist with publishing or marketing on third-party platforms (such as retailers or advertising networks), those platforms’ own terms apply. We do not guarantee rankings, sales, reviews, or media coverage. Outcomes depend on market conditions, genre, and factors outside our control.

9. Acceptable Use of the Website

You may not misuse our website, attempt unauthorized access, introduce malware, scrape content at scale, or use our site for unlawful activity. We may suspend access if we reasonably believe these terms have been violated.

10. Disclaimers

Our website and services are provided on an “as available” basis. While we work carefully and professionally, we do not warrant uninterrupted site access or that every project outcome will meet commercial expectations. Advice and recommendations are guidance, not legal, tax, or financial counsel.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Aussie Book Publishing is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or lost-profit damages arising from your use of the site or services. Our total liability for a project is limited to the fees you paid us for that specific project.

12. Termination

Either party may end a project according to the written agreement. We may suspend or end services for non-payment, abusive conduct, or material breach of these terms. Sections that by nature should survive — including ownership, confidentiality, payment, and liability limits — will continue after termination.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms and Conditions periodically. The “Last updated” date will reflect changes. Continued use of the website or services after updates means you accept the revised terms.

14. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws applicable in the United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes will first be addressed in good faith; if unresolved, they may be brought in courts located in San Francisco, California, unless your written agreement states otherwise.
